SRAM X-SYNC Direct Mount Chainring Review
- Material: aluminum
- Number of Rings: 1
- Teeth: 30 t, 32 t, 34 t
- Connection: direct-mount
- Compatible Components: [0mm offset] SRAM BB30 cranksets, [6mm offset] SRAM GPX cranksets
SRAM’s X-Sync Direct Mount Chainring features X-Sync’s tall, square teeth to engage the chain sooner on each rotation for maximum control with a one-by drivetrain so the chain doesn’t get bored and wander off onto your pedal spindle. The teeth also alternate between narrow and wide with mud-clearing recesses in between in order to keep a hold on the chain even during deflections on mucky trails. The quick interchangeability of direct-mount rings mean you can stock multiple sizes to adjust your drivetrain for any given course or terrain. Regardless of which size you’re running, the chainring is finished with a built-in forged aluminum spider that sticks to the lightweight theme while carefully preserving the direct-mount crank arms’ gains in efficiency.
