The STRIDER 16 Sport model is a major redesign of our initial 16″ model launched last year. With better components, new features and more adjustability, we know this bike will be a hit with kids who are just learning to ride for the first time, kids who are dealing with special needs challenges, as well as those who are tearing it up at the skate parks and BMX bike parks. If the rider is a little older and stronger and can handle the added weight of the pneumatic system (and you’re willing to maintain proper tire inflation!) this wheel set offers a great ride characteristic and excellent traction. For beginning riders or really young/lightweight riders, we still recommend the standard EVA polymer wheel set due to its light weight. Each pneumatic wheel weighs about 1 POUND more than the EVA polymer wheel set. Wheels are sold as a set.

The balance bike’s sturdy frame is rounded off with flat-free tires, an adjustable seatpost, footrests for gliding, and brake mounts so that — as the young rider’s coasting skills increase — a rear brake can be added to keep things in check.
