With oversized handlebars being de rigueur for road and mountain bikes these days, you need a stem that is equally as stiff and strong. Syntace took the design of its legendary F99 stem and parlayed it into the F109, to fit oversized 31. 8mm handlebar clamps. Syntace forged the Force 109 from high-strength aluminum alloy. This material, along with 3D forging, keeps strength at a maximum and weight at a minimum. In addition, it’s equipped with titanium bolts to shave every gram of weight possible. The faceplate makes handlebar changes quick, and you won’t have to contort your fingers to squeeze a hex wrench into an awkwardly-placed bolt head. The “bed” for the handlebar is 20 degrees deeper than a standard 180, at 200 degrees. This allows your handlebar to sit deeper into the stem, which helps to decrease bar flex and increase fatigue life. The Syntace Force 109 Stem is available in several lengths and degree options: 60mm/6deg, 75mm/6deg, 90mm/6deg, 90mm/17deg, 100mm/6deg, 100mm/17deg, 110mm/6deg, 110mm/17deg, 120mm/6deg, and 135mm/6deg. It comes in the color Black.
